What You Should Know About Our Warehouse Practices and Policies At Visualites Reading Glasses
First we are an essential business and will be open and fully operational during normal business hours at times when a “shelter in place” restriction is in order. Our facility is also conducive to practicing social distancing with one dedicated person picking and packing all orders for your reading glasses each day. All employees in our facility are wearing facemasks and are having their temperature taken each day. Personal hygiene requirements for employees, including hand washing and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are being enforced for everyones protection. Additional cleaning of the facility has also been introduced to keep our warehouse as clean as possible with Increased attention to disinfecting work areas, breakroom and restroom facilities. We also have adequate quantities of hand sanitizers and antiseptic wipes and encourage their use liberally. Our lunch and other breaks are also now staggered to prevent congregating in break areas. Any new shipments of product are being quarantined for 14 days, while we are not sure this is necessary we want to error on the side of caution wherever possible. When the USPS truck arrives at our facility they back up to our garage door and with a conveyer machine we load the packages directly into their vehicle without any human contact. In all we feel we have taken all precautions extremely seriously and at this time have had no instances of anyone becoming ill with COVID-19.

USPS has reassured us that they are adhering to all practices, due to the crucial role they serve in moving supply chains and delivering critical relief the United States Postal Service is considered an essential business and will continue to operate during this state of emergency and shelter in place orders that have been recently issued. Potential Delays?
We have been monitoring a small percentage of our shipments with USPS and have seen a very small increase in packages being delayed. Most of our reading glasses make it to customers in two to three days and in less than 10% of shipments we have seen an additional day. There have been a few instances where packages have taken a week and one instance with a shipment to Canada that took three weeks. We do provide tracking numbers on all shipments when the package is shipped. Please do monitor this and if there are any problems please reach out to us at customerservice@visualites.com

These are challenging times for all of us, the fear of becoming ill, the legitimate challenges losing work and having to home school our children, the mental duress of living a life in quarantine are combining to create a stressful and difficult time.
